Description This drawing comes from a series of drawings I did over the course of a couple of years. I began to have a conflict between spending time with friends, being sociable, and spending the necessary time in my studio. My compromise was to take a drawing pad with me when I went out with friends. This particular drawing was the result of spending an evening with friends at the Flying Saucer in Little Rock.
Robert Bean, Little Rock Member Since November 2007 Artist Statement
Robert has been a practicing artist for over a decade with his work having appeared in juried shows and is in private collections nationally. Most recently his work could be found in the 2006 MOAK and the 20th Annual Small Works on Paper.
While some artists see the title as a secondary trait to the image itself, Robert strives to combine both title and image into a complete work. Using the title as an "opening line", the artist hopes to bring the viewer into the world being created while allowing the viewer to complete the story.
